I recently received some gray UltraFire 14500 3.6V Li-ion rechargeable batteries along with an UltraFire Charger WF-138.
The first issue is that the batteries are actually a tiny bit larger than the opening in the charger. They can be "forced" in and will charge. As I read in another post, with the Tank 007 E07, which uses AA or 14500, the 14500 positive tip come very close to the edges of the top part of the flashlight and can short out the light. This other post warned about using these. I think he suggested that a bit of solder could be added to the positive tip of the battery to avoid the rest of the head from contacting the outer part of the top of the light. (I hope I explained that clearly.)
Thanks, Lgo

- If I add any solder, then the battery for sure will not fit into the charger.
- Also it is safe to solder a battery - as they warn about disposing of in fire.
- Would a regular home battery charger work with 14500's?
- Do other brands of rechargeable's have a smaller positive tip/head then these?
- If I buy another brand of 14500 rechargeable batteries can I use the UltraFire charger.
Thanks, Lgo
