Clear polycarbonate is your best choise unless you can get some custom blown pyrex glass tube.

I wonder how the consistent trickle charge will affect the batteries...if they were lithium, it wouldn't be an issue, but NiMH... :sick2:

The clear polycarbonate sounds like a good option.
