Me thinks I may buy myself an M2 or M3 for Fathers' Day. As I understand it, it's not advisable to use a dropin LED in an M series light because the heavier M series head doesn't dissipate heat very well. So, I plan to stay with the stock incadesant bulb. To my question:

Would it be okay to uses RCR123s in this light or is there some other regargable I should consider?

Thanks in advance for her help.

Nice gift for yourself. SF does not recommend using the RCR123s or any type of rechargable batteries because it think it will blow up stock incan. bulb. Many would say go with the Malkoff drop in on the M2. I'm going this route with my M2 and have also been checking out the Lumens Factory LED drop in that runs off RCR123s for my M3T. Hope this helps and Happy Father's Day.

Thanks BigLou. Happy Fathers' Day to you as well. If you're not a father, tomorrow is also National Naked Hihing Day so, knock yourself out.

Nice I'll go at night so I could bring my flashlights His and Hers that is.
