Recommand me a divelight please

Hi all,

My name is Arthur, age 49, living in The Netherlands and I am looking for a new very bright LED divelight.

Surching this forum makes me dizzy because there are so many lights..

I already have the Ultrafire W200 from DealExtreme but it is flickering all the time. I have written to a member here who has done an upgrade to this W200 and in the future I will use this as a backup.

Budget for a new light will be aroud 40 euro (± 60 USD).

Please help me make a choice.

I stumbled upon CPF for pretty much the same reason. An affordable dive light. Came to find out that it's not so easy.

I also have the W200 and fortunately, it does not flicker, I like it so far. I've done 2 ~1hour night dives with this light as primary and it worked great.

I'm afraid you're out of luck in the price range you are searching for. Most proper dive lights are way more expensive. It would be good to supply some more information on what you are looking for. What kind of diving at what depths. Murky European waters or clear oceans. What kind of batteries do you want to be using?

I have a Cree MC-E dive light from DX which some love and other hate. Price is 95 US$ shipped. There is a thread on the scuba board thats quite informative. I like the looks, it feels pretty solid, but haven't been diving with it.

I've stumbled upon a dive light from KD, but haven't found any reviews yet.

The only thing I can come up with in your price range is the Led Lenser D14. There is also a review on the scuba board. Not sure if it qualifies as being really bright. More like a backup to me.
