Recommed me a P60 Drop-in

Hello. I'm looking for a budget light assembly. I already have the SF P60L, KX4, MD M60 and M61. I'm putting together a flashlight with some left over parts I have. I never really paid attention to anything else but MD, but was impressed by a $12.80 3W Cree P4 emmiter which threw a nice white light I picked up with a bundle pack from a fellow CPFer. I have heard of Deerelight and Thurnite, but never really looked into them. I looking for a 9V input LA to be used with RCR123s and an 18650 and prefer white light. 30-40 bucks is my max anything higher I'll just get another Malkoff. Could be from DX, Battery Junction or LightHound or any CPF vendor. Let me know.

3 mode Deerelight XP-G 3SM. What maybe 36 bucks and now you can pick op or a smooth reflector. Bright and flexible input too.

It really makes no sense to go for the SSTs in P60s since the brightness will be limited to about MCE/2-3x XPG levels by the heat. 2.8A is pretty weak for the SSTs and the light would be brighter if that same current was applied to a different emitter.

I like the Solarforce dropins as they are cheap to buy.

I have two five modes , two three modes plus a single mode ... Personal preference is the three mode , but all my multi-modes have memory and generally are set to high ... My 18650's run for two and a half hours continuously on high ... I don't need any longer than that as my Yorkie only needs an hour or so on his walkies !

I pay about £8-38 ('ish) on an internet auction site including delivery although DX and KD also have them but I'm not certain whether theirs are genuine Solarforces.

I haven't put any links on in case DM51 deletes them again.

I agree. I just get the Solarforce drop ins too. I prefer them to the ThruNite drop in.
