Recommendation: update your Flash Players if you use Flash

...all platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac, Sun Solaris) and all browsers. Choose the versions you need here. Why? Security (to make a long story short).

Corrolary to that, check that your other software and add-ons are up-to-date too, especially these:

• Adobe Reader (aka Acrobat)
• Sun Java Runtime (JRE) (uninstall all out-of-date versions of Java)
• QuickTime and/or iTunes
• and of course your operating system itself (use Apple Update, Microsoft Update, etc)

Windows users can check their systems for known-vulnerable software and fix it with these free goodies:

• F-Secure's Health Check (use Internet Explorer, since it's ActiveX-driven)
• Secunia's Personal Software Inspector, a utility which you install on your computer

bump for this topic. It's estimated that over 80% of computer users are using a vulnerable, exploitable version of Flash Player. I'm thinkin' Adobe needs to work on the update mechanism going forward. In the meantime, see the OP for how to update.
