Most of the lanterns I see don't seem to be water resistant (maybe just my wrong impression).

Links, pics, and recommendations regarding water resistant lanterns would be appreciated (good for out in the rain/storm, etc. is sufficient).

As long as you don't want to be blinded the good old lithium GloToob is hard to beat.

How about finding a nice lantern you like and just putting it in a gallon ziplock bag if it's going to rain?

i have the Coleman led 8d cell lantern. Except for the artifacts in the beam I am happy with it. it puts out good light and has long runtime.

You mean like the 6-volt Eveready Dolphin ?

He knows TONS of specifics about these lights.

And i can vouch for the fact that they are, indeed

Very Water-Resistant !

most lanterns are somewhat water resistant I would say as far a a light rain goes. In a heavy rain a lantern is useless IMO you need a throwing flashlight to see anything. I would say the LED lanterns would be the best as even if they get wet they are safer than the fluorescent lanterns as they are perhaps 6v or less most of them no risk of being shocked.
