Had to make a new account because I had forgotten my old one  but I'm building a 1992 XJ in the Wrangler theme from Jurassic Park and I'm wanting some good period flashlights to put in there, something that they would have "spared no expense" except they can't be too expensive . In the movie they use the Maxabeam spotlight but I can't spend $1K on one. I'm trying to make everything as period as possible and this will just be another great prop!

Do you want to make it just look authentic on the outside and with its function, or do you want it to be an actual flashlight from that period to get it just right?

Surefire 6P Classic, if you can find one.
Maybe not a "spared no expense" light, but a 2 or 3D Mag would probably be cheaper and easier to find.

Looking for an actual light just not sure what.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind. I thought about a Maglite and may end up with a couple but we'll see.

Tektite lights would fit in, as mentioned the Surefire 6P would as well. Maybe it'd be worth looking for old handheld searchlights from back then too on thebay etc. where they come up at times.
