If you want a close-up flood, you should either use a McFlood or just use the emitter without any optics at all.
Though personally, I'd use a McFlood. My McLux Black Widow (black body, red Luxeon LED) has a McFlood in it, and it produces a round central hotspot with a corona around it of approximately 50% the width and 50% as bright - an examination shows this is the direct emission of the Luxeon's die, and not a reflection of any type.
I don't have the equipment for measuring beam angles, so this part will have to be up to somebody else with a Black Widow + McFlood combination and the ability to measure these angles.
