Regulated D Cell Lights?

I'm looking for a regulated D cell flashlight. It doesn't have to be super bright. Run time is more important than brightness. Anyone know what's available?

Elektrolumens Blaster series.

Positives:

Partially regulated, excellent runtime (up to 24 hours of decent brightneess). Very good construction/fit-finish. Very white tint.

Negatives: No usable sidespill, mediocre beam quality.

I personally would recommend the Blaster Series.

Labdna Promagnum, this is a modified 2D cell M@glight
it is regulated, uses a 3watt Luxeon Led, UCL lens.
this light has the same focusing range as the M@g light
this light is a very powerful light much much brighter
than the stock Mag.

I have an Elektrolumens Hyper-Blaster 1R. It's a very good light.

Or, just put an EverLED in a regular D-cell flashlight.

Oh yeah-- I forgot to mention... This will be an area light for in a small room...not a spot light. Diffuse even lighting is preferred. It also must work with rechargables.

Maglite plus EverLED conversion (LED bulb) plus EDC-LDF (this lens diffuses the beam).

The flashlight which seems to fit your needs best is one which is not regulated. The Lightwave 4000 is a 3D model which uses 10 LED's for smooth even illumination and runs for 48 hours before it reaches the 50% brightness level. It continues to put out useful light for several days beyond that.

If you don't specifically need a flashlight, you might consider a battery powered lantern using either LED's or fluorescent tubes.

Hi.. DD 2D cell with 5 watt is very impressive bright. I think it cheaper than regulated when I use 6*AA NiMH cell.
