I have 3 trucks (own a landscaping company) and my friends all have trucks as their everyday driver.
When we go out into the desert here in Utah it sure would be nice to have some more light.

I've thought about mounting lights for a while, but it doesn't seem like a good option as I take a different truck depending on the level of offroading we're going to experience or catch a ride with a buddy. (I've got a nice big comfortable truck and a real beater truck too)

Sooooo, I've eyed the Golights for sometime as an option to remedy my situation, and with the darkest day of the year coming up, its time to get something.

What am I sacrificing on the chinese version of these? quality only? and some claim to have a 70 watt hid. Whats the main difference between 35, 50, and 70 going to be?

I'd like to have the most amount of pencil spot available.
I understand buy nice or buy twice, but since I'll be using this probably 20 times a year, a cheaper version may be what I'll go with.

Any input from you experts out there will definitely influence my purchase.

IMO, the best solution would be to buy a LED light bar and figure out a way to either mount a quick detach bracket, or magnetic mount to it. Check out Rigid Industries, although there are much more affordable solutions on ebay and dealextreme.

What am I sacrificing on the [essentially counterfeit products]? quality only?
On top of losing quality, you're hurting a company that did real research and got real patents for their lights, only for someone else to copy their designs and have them made cheaply somewhere.

Remember, more important than "you get what you pay for": "You don't get what you don't pay for".
