Removing Vial from Glow Discs

How do I get the tritium vial out of my glow disc?

remove the white sticky stuff behind the disk and get the vial out with a tooth-pick.

I pryed on the plastic to pop one out, the other came out with the sticky backing.

After scraping the double-stick with a fingernail, I found the vials to be "stuck" in their pockets. I was reluctant to pry them out so cracked the housing (off to the side) in a vise and they fell out. The housing appears to be a very brittle acrylic. I had one vial that made it 3 feet to the concrete floor and was undamaged in the fall.
