Dear All,

I know that this question is not strictly related to flashlight, but... I was wondering about which kind of batteries can succesfully installed in a Braun rechargeable shaver to replace the exhaust, existing ones.

Now there are two AA-No Brand-No capacity shown installed, and the shaver does not retain the charge for a very long time. Thus, I actually don't know which kind of battery I can succesfully install. They are be Ni-MH batteries, and since I have plenty of unused, almost new (maximum 10 months old ) Sanyo Eneloop, I don't know if I can use them. Mainly, are they ok in terms of intrnal resistance?
Just consider the shaver runs out the battery in about 50 minutes, which means over 1C in terms of current drain.

Are they ok, or should I use another kind of accumulator?

Hello Paolo,

You should probably measure the voltage to make sure they are Nickle based cells and not Li-Ion. If they are welded together you may be able to get a hobby shop to weld up a replacement pack. If they are Nickle based and you can get good contact without welding, Eneloop cells would work very well.

I am going to move this to the general battery section. This section is used to report accidents that happen while using batteries in an attempt to learn from those accidents.

Thank you very much for your timely asnwers. Sorry if I posted in the wrong section... undoubtely, a newbie mistake... sorry.

@Shadow: thanks, already welded & installed two new-generation (..as they are called...) Eneloop, almost unused. They seems to be working fine.
@Silverfox: thanks you too: the batteries are two AA Ni-MH. They are Sanyo batteries but the green wrapping doesn't show anything more that the brand, the chemistry (Ni-MH) and three letters (JCH). Googleing, I haven't found anythig related to the original capacity.

I hope the capacity of the new cells is not much different from the original one... at least, to avoid undercharge/overcharge problem due to a wrong dV/dT feedback .
