Hey everybody. I need to replace a broken AAA battery cartridge from a MAC Tools labeled LED flashlight. The light was given to me as a gift and came as part of a kit with a folding knife and canvas pouch with belt loop. The gift has sentimental value and I would really like to get the light working properly again. Any suggestions are appreciated.

If it's a standard 3xAAA cartridge, you can probably find one on eBay for cheap.

without a picture of it only people familiar with that particular light has any idea what the battery holder looks like. I have about 4 or 5 different 3AAA battery holder designs from contacts on each end to both contacts on one end to springs on one end of several types and spacing.

idk how to attach photos but I will look into it. The holder has a spring top and contact bottom, fwiw.

you can go to google and use the image search typing in 3AAA battery holder and maybe find a picture of it. You won't be able to post the picture here but could post the URL to it here I think.

Lynx_Arc,

Thanks for the advice. I took your suggestion and performed a search. In the end, I wound up at Dorcy Direct. Believe it or not, the site showed an image of the light on the first page...it is obviously manufactured by Dorcy for Mac. So, you see, you had the solution--bravo. It's not an amazing light but has certain sentimental value; getting it running for $2.40 with free shipping is cool with me.

I forgot about Dorcy direct, was trying to remember where I saw a lot of them as like most folks I have drifted away from the 3AAA format due to the battery carrier hassle.
