Does anyone know of a good source for replacement diode type lasers? The gun shop I was in yesterday had a trigger guard mountable laser with an excellent switch design in their discount bin. Since they didn't know whether it worked they gave it to me for nothing, but once I got it home I discovered that it indeed did not light up.

There is power going to the laser so the circuitry isn't the problem. I think this is a 645 nm, 2.5mW laser. I don't know the manufacturer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yup, Paul sell 'em. $2.50 each at <http://www.whitelightled.com/>. 5 mW though, hope you can live with the higher power.....

Has a (output) monitor photo diode as well, so you can tell if it's on without looking....

I'm not sure how they'd stand up to recoil on a gun of course.

First rate guy, products, service and prices. A tough combination to top for sure.

I just (yesterday) got the four I ordered, won't get to fiddle with them for a bit. Based on LEDs I've bought in the past, I've high hopes.
