Management passed out a flashlight to everyone in my department. It seems the Fifth level manager wanted to reward all the workers for all the fine work???

A match would of been a bit brighter and would have a better beam.

Of course I could think of a lot better lights that could of been used and I thought maybe the big boss was unaware of better stock. So a plan evolved. I will be retiring in 5 weeks and would like to give away a few flashlights before I leave for good.

I contacted a few sellers on eBay that offered engraved Maglites. Most would only offer letters .25"-.28" but one would do .375".

Below is the delivered item. I upgraded to the Terralux 3W from Battery Junction and a Borofloat lens from flashlightlens. I also added a notched bezel. For my keeper, I added a jeweled bezel.

What do you all think about this?

Here are some of my blue mags for the heck of it.

I think it's freaking beautiful. :twothumbs

As for the boss, I've seen those at .99 stores. I firmly believe that if you're going to give employees a "Thank You" gift for all their hard work, it should be something that reflects your level of appreciation.

I used to work at Guardsmark. The founder, who still runs the company, is famous for taking pics of his happy smiling family outside his mansion and then making tens of thousands of copies in postcard form.... Which he then sends out to all of his employees during Christmas time.

The sad part is, he's so out of touch with his employees; that he honestly has no clue that he's insulting all of them.

+1.

I saw the flashlights being given out and the flash-a-holic in me was thinking joy.

That lasted until I had it in my hand. Even the un-enlighted were un-impressed.

I have a very nice 2nd level that I will enjoy giving this light to. He is the one who gave me the logo'd BellSouth AA because he knew about my hobby.

My E2e stays at home:oops:. I do have a patriotic SF 6P W/MALKOFF M6 with me at work lovecpf. That does not leave my hand outside of home.
