PLUSES:
+Good color output.
+Nice flood, good overall light output.
+Good design: well balanced and feels good in the hand; nice knurling.
+Good heatsink, flashlight doesn't get too hot.
+Nice beam pattern for a multi-LED set-up.
+Very good run time considering the output.

MINUSES:
-Not enough throw (for me), would like to see a more focused beam.
-Black anodizing, though nice, is not very durable. Scuffs and marks rather easily.

OVERALL: 9.00 out of 10.00
Elektrolumens' Tri-Star Phazer (TSP) is a very good flashlight. It's what I like to see in a flashlight, very good brightness for an LED set-up and good run time.

As you can see from the "ceiling bounce" picture, the TSP makes a lot of light compared to its peers:

Now let's light up my office (sorry for the mess), you can clearly see the TSP is superior:

Wow,

Looks like nice output and beam quality. I had considered this light a long time ago. Are those D cells?

Wilkey
PS. Who in your office does Pilates? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Wilkey: 4 C-cells. Regarding pilates... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif They are very handy for lots of things, especially balancing flashlights that won't stand upright. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hmmm... that looks very familar S4MadMan! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink2.gif

Nice review!

Wow, I think this is perfect example of how you can't just look at Lux readings.

Cool review. Looks like the light is great for medium to close work when you need a lot of light. Good pictures.

Thanks.
