I'm planning a new project, but want to know if anyone has ever tried this before:
There are plenty of RGB LEDs out there, and they could be used in home lighting.
These lights could be coupled to a home alarm system, so that:
* If a fire alarm goes off, the lights could turn red. (red could mean evacuate) Maybe one day, this would be cheaper than having seperate fire alarm lights.
* If a bad guy breaks in, the lights could refuse to turn on, or could flash at an irritating rate, or could work as puke lights to deter the intrusion.
If we give the security system knowledge of where the occupants are, and where the bad guy is, this could get interesting.
So, has anyone tried this?
