Rifle light glare

I've ordered a couple of G25C2vn's off vinh for attaching to my hunting rifle. I've explained to vinh that I have had problems in the past with other lights, so he has asked me to put up a thread to ask you guys.
I mount the light to the scope, but the spill from the light glares/shines off the silencer obscuring my vision. Its not too bad when its dry but when wet its unusable.
Will I have this problem with the G25C2vn? Is there any mod that I could get vinh to do before he ships to help reduce the liklihood of glare?
It will be pretty much used on the rifle only as I have a k40vn for spotting.

Try some electrical tape over the bottom of the lens.
Just enough to kill a small amount of the spill - like 1/4 inch.
I do this with one of my helmet mounted lights & it works great.

If that doesn't work for you try to find a small piece of PVC pipe or something with an inside diameter similar to the head of the light. Then you can either sand some of the inside material off or add some tape or something to the head of the flashlight to make it fit snug. It's the same concept as using the electrical tape as an extended bezel. You could even use some stiffer construction paper or something and just tape it around the end of the bezel.

Just buy new mount for the flashlight and attach it under the barrel as far as possible from the scope.

This is a common problem. First up I would mount the lamp directly above your scope and as far back as possible. This does two things: (1) maintains the balance of the rifle better; and (2) uses the objective bell of that very nice S&B to cast a shadow over the rear of the mod and that nice shiny barrel. The other suggestions here already made of either an anti-spill tube and/or the tape over the lower part of the lens (surprisingly effective) also work well.

As a last resort find a bit of pipe lagging as close to the same diameter of your mod as possible and butt up to your mod on the barrel. Not pretty, but effective.

Just buy new mount for the flashlight and attach it under the barrel as far as possible from the scope.

It is possible to buy a picatinny rail that attaches to your foreend QD stud. You can then use a 25mm low ring to mount under the foreend which should be far enough forward to not reflect any light off the mod.
