Farrah Fawcett lost her battle to cancer at 62. Charlie just got his angel...

I was surprised to read that she died. I last saw her in the 2006 Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner.

I also read Michael Jackson was found today unconscoius and not breathing. He might be gone too.

Yeah, three major icons in 2 days - Ed McMahon yesterday and now Farrah and Michael. The entertainment community is suddenly much poorer, and the world has lost some true giants.

While not unexpected, it's sad to see her go. After watching her special a few weeks ago, I had hoped she would have the miraculous recovery she had hoped for. Sadly, it wasn't to be.

I remember watching the 1976 debut episode of Charlie's Angels and (with my usual insight) remarking to my future sister and brother in-law; "Man, this show isn't going to last long."

Sad to see someone who made the most of her potential (albeit with typical human missteps along the way), pass so soon... RIP
