RIP Peter Falk

TV's Columbo has passed away of Alzheimer's at 83. I'd like to say something profound here but all I can think of is his famous "Ahhh, 'scuse me... just one more thing..."

RIP sir and thanks for many years of good clean entertainment.

I too was sad to hear of his passing.

He also did movies, and I recall with affection Murder by Death; The Princess Bride; and Wings of Desire (the German version, not the Hollywood remake).

He had cancer as a child, resulting in losing one eye. Initially he was an accountant, only later becoming an actor!

I guess life can take many paths. The funniest episode about him (from his bio in IMDB), an umpire called him out in Little League, but Peter Falk thought he was safe. Eventually, one imagines after much arguing, Peter Falk took out his glass eye and handed it over to the umpire, saying "Here, I think you might need this"!!
