You guys know which of the foreign flashlight manufacturers can handle their repairs in the US?

It's easy enough to see what the warranties are on lights, but if you end up having to mail a light back to China to get it fixed, it may not be worth the expense. Even if a manufacturer asks for you send it back to the dealer, and the dealer sends it back to China, it still takes a lot longer to process, and the dealers essentially become impotent middlemen, sometimes making a repair process even more frustrating.

I do understand that a lot of good online dealers will swap out a bad light for you, in say 30 days, but I'm talking about if something happens after that window closes.

You can do what I do, contact the manufacturer directly, get the info from their site, then email them.

That's what I did with my Jetbeam light, and the same with my Crelant light. These manufacturers are very accomodating and usually ship you the item right away. Might even get a better price (for non warranty parts) as you are getting it straight from the source. :)

Interesting, so you dealt direct with Jetbeam China, as opposed to their US operation in MA - JetbeamUSA.com?

Getting parts I guess I can understand, but I assume they're not going to send you a new light, if yours fails to operate, until they first receive yours, right?

I'm based here in Asia, so China was the closer choice. :)

Well, logically they'd expect to receive your light first coz what proof do they have that you own the light you claim to have, especially if you got it through several distributors already. If you do send your light back for repair, the distributor sends this back to the factory, hence you'd be skipping several steps by going straight to the source.

You'd be amazed how accommodating they are. :)

Here's my story on my Jetbeam experience: I accidentally dropped by BC25 on its tail and dented the aluminum (the anon held btw), a few days after it arrived. I was so pissed being the OC person that I am. I wrote to Jetbeam Sales wondering if I could order a brand new tailcap, they immediately sent me one (after the paypal payment cleared) then I ordered a few more stuff from them directly (at a good price). So it's been that way with me and my Jetbeam experience. They even let me know what new lights they will be offering from their jetbeam and nitecore line of flashlights. :)
