Living in the UK, where chopping and cutting wood is a necessity in the outdoors, I prefer to use an axe over the more basic folding saw, SAK, wire saw, or battening a fixed blade or locking folder (God forbid). In the past few years I've been using an Atax. It's basically and axe head that you lash to an improvised handle when the need arises, and it makes fast work of most chopping needs (although I wouldn't fell an oak with it).
But, these seem to be unheard of in the UK, and rarely mentioned anywhere online, so am I the only one who's bought one of these?
