Hello!
I will buy my 1st budget flashlight, but do not know which one.

I am thinking about Solarforce l2p host and xpg-r5 dropin (budget). Can you suggest me where can i buy it if i am from europe? (cheap shipping)

I would also like to buy budget MCE and P7 light which one from deal extreme has most lumen? Can you suggest me which one budget p7 or mce is the best?
Thank you

Oh, and which 18650 are the best (non budget) for these lights?
Thank you!

Giz,

The ITC shop carries SolarForce lights & cheap shipping.

MCE - P7 lights: Short answer, its a toss-up as to the quality and usefulness of DX or KD lights, some are OK, many are not so good. Use the search function to find threads regarding DX / KD MCE & P7 based lights.

Look in the Market Place for AW batteries, he stocks the best hands-down.

Disclaimer: I don't work for ITC or AW.

Thank you!

lovecpf

I am still confused about MCE or p7, so i would like to hear some recommendations about budget lights with those emitters.
Thank you in advance!

Be aware about the DX lights often times you'll need to work on them to get them running properly. I'm a fan of DX lights myself but I'm not afraid to completely disassemble and reassemble the lights myself. This includes often resoldering the driver boards because ground failures are probably the most often cause for flickering and failing lights. Other points of failure I've seen is either the switches need shimming so the contact rings connect to ground or the light head needs a metal shim because it doesn't reach ground.

With that said if you're still in the market for a budget MC-E/P7 light sku.18484 on DX seems pretty good. If you want maximum light output you can always gut the board and direct drive it but sometimes protected cells will shut off with the higher current draw. I end up having to use unprotected cells in my direct drive P7 and MC-E lights.
