I'm wondering what the typical forward voltage of a royal blue luxeon is, and if it would be happy on a MadMax+.

1. If someone has a royal blue w/NX05, what is the beam like? I understand that colimators may act differently with different wavelengths of light. Specifically, I'm interested in a RB high dome & NX05.

2. Does a royal blue provide enough visible light to see with, in addition to fluorescing?

My plan is to have a "bug hunt" light. I seem to be having a problem with vinagaroons & scorpions getting into my apartment. I'm thinking of conducting a search & destroy every other day or so, and I hope to find where they are ingressing my domicile.

Hi Shankus,

the green, cyan, blue and royal blue LED's have the same VF as the white LED's (according to the data sheet typical 3.45). Only red, red-orange and amber have lower VF's (typical 2.95)

Therefore I don't see a problem with a royal blue on a MadMax+

Oh, I just remembered. Can they take the high current that a MadMax+ produces, about 800 mA?
