safe cut off Li-ion voltage

i am using 3 of those Lg Li-Ion 950 mAH with protection board removed in my mp3 player and in few days i am going to check their capacity will somebody tell on which voltage i should stop using the battery to prevent over discharge.

after removal of pcb, there is a negative nipple which insulated by a ring merely 0.5mm in height to the positive body, how do you manage to use it without short circuiting the battery ?

FYI if the voltage drops below 3.6v it is empty

Those cells are rated down to 3.0 volts under load.

see yourself!!! i carefully removed the PCB and soldered the wires!!!! its dangerous but i cant stop myself
