Is there a sandwich suitable for use in a 1AA light? My goal is best brightness for between 1 to 2 hours runtime.

I'm not sure about runtime, but I believe you'll want one of the MadMax sandwiches. I believe either the MadMax Plus or the regular MadMax will give good (relatively speaking) runtime for 1 1/2 hours. There's a "mini-minimag" runtime plot in the Reviews forum (see the run-time plot sticky). It's a mini-mag modded to use one AA, it uses one of those two sandwiches.

i've been running a madmax+ on 1aa for the past 6months or so (longer?) and it's worked quite well /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

not exactly sure about the runtime, but i've had this lithium l91 battery in here for the past 3 months...

Thank you both. ROTHRANDIR; What led is on the MM+? How bright relative to other common similar lights? Will it fit in the head of a firefly /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif?

Consider a MM lite. I think that it will give better all round performance for the 1AA app. Runtime will be a bit longer than you specified, 3+ hours before significant dimming.

Look here for my runtime plot and discussion on the Mini-MiniMag. The Mini-Minimag was a 2xAA MiniMag chopped down to 1xAA size. I was using MadMax+ with a Q rated LED.

the led on my mm+ is an r2h /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
