I ordered a L2m host from SBFlashlight.com. In the package there was a bag containing piece of metal approximately 1 inch squared. Does anyone know what that is for?

Thanks. I would have never figured that one out. I don't thing I'll be using it as such. the edges are quite sharp. I got one from flashlightlens.com that worked perfectly.

On a side note SBFlashlights.com has amazing customer service. They didn't have the color that I had paid for in stock, but "Sanjin" made it more than right.
