Debating on getting a new lightweight light. The choice now is between these 2. They are close to the same price, seems the scorpion is brighter, scorpion has spare bulb. Can you focus the beam on the scorpion? If anyone has both, what are the advantages/disadvantages to each?

Yes, you can focus the beam on the scorpion.

I don't have a G2. Some people don't like the rubber sleeve on the Scorpion.

I like the fact that the Streamlight replacement parts are cheaper.

Scorpion:
Extra lamp included
Rubberized body sleeve that can slide off but some superglue should fix that
I think they have warranty centers in every state
Focuseable (if youre looking for that)
Clicky tail switch (might develop a small tear with a lot of use)
Cheaper replacement parts

G2:
Has options to make it rechargeable
Can use a G2Z bezel (pyrex)
Option of P61 lamp
Low cost compared to other SF's
Replacement lamps cost more
Better beam in a white wall test
LED option from SF

I didnt mention high cost of replacement LA's because it supposed to last a lot longer than the SL lamps.
