searching for another perfect edc

About a year ago I purchased an AmiLite cuty with AW's CR123. It measures 2.71 inches long, output is 140 lumens for 90 minutes. This is by far my favorite edc (actually have two!) So I really don't need a new light but I want something to lust for. The size is perfect...is there anything close in size with a higher output? I have read about the following but they are all longer. Also ideally I would like to use AW's batteries.

The Peak Caribbean is about the same size in the pocket body format. I use AW's protected R123A's in mine. These are available in HAIII, Stainless and Brass and are beautifully made. Don't really know about the lumen output, but mine is set up in Peak's Ultra Power format (which is a step down from their higher output Super Power). It's bright enough for me with a P4 which produces the floody type beam which I prefer. If it's brightness you want, call them and talk to Curt about a Super and the possibility of a direct drive for maximum juice.

The 200/100 looks interesting.

I have a huge collection of fivemega lights....I have found myself giving away all my giant 5761's, mag85's, etc. to good friends. [FONT=&quot]Got to love these pocket rockets!:naughty:[/FONT]

How about the NEX.

What is the difference between the (Osram vs. Cree Q5)200 vs. Rebel(220 lumens) but is it all color, or flood? I like that this takes an AW battery. This light is a bit longer and better compared to the Amilite T5

The light levels may be too similar. People who have them have said they would have preferred a lower low, and then the 200 blast for bragging rights. And to impress the ladies.:shakehead

Thanks this what I need to hear. So probably the 200/20 is the route to take. Before I jump in with both feet there isn't anything upcoming in the next three months? I won't be in a position to take possession for a couple months...but like to order early so there is a present when I arrive!

I had wanted to get one of the Amilites a few months back, but when I went to the website the T5s were "sold out."

I read that there are some new AmiLites in the works. I like the T5 but the cuty that uses AW's Li-ion is my favorite. I have given various torches to my Dad such as the Mag85, 5761, Surefire....He edc's the cuty and he isn't a flashlight nut.🙂
