Came across this product in my recent online LED Magazine.

Basically its a standard reflow solderable substrate in star form, but it has a self adhesive layer for easier assembly to your heatsink. Thermal resistance is supposed to be better which means, you should be able to run higher currents and have the LED last longer.
I'm not one to purchase bare stars boards, but for those that do this might be the ticket.
