Would a GD or DB driver with a li-ion drive a Seould red led safely? The Vf of the Seoul is listed at 2.3v. I would like to make a red light engine for Aleph.

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, should be ok as long as you set the current accordingly. I recently ugraded a LE for member on another forum using a BBNG500 & a red Cree XR7090 which has a similar vf to the Seoul.

Thanks a bunch. If you don't mind me asking what Cree led did you use - XR-C? - amd how did it turn out? I was looking at the Seoul because of ease of installation.

XR series are no longer in production (I have a local vendor that still has some available). Max rated current is 700ma & at 500ma it was still very bright!
