SF b-90 Question?

I have read much discussion about the flaws of the b-90 , I own an older 8x and have recently noticed that i have encountered the same petering-out as others have talked about. Question - Can the B-92 be used in a 8x. and if so, does it solve the problem ?

Welcome, lighthead, to CPF.

To answer your question: the B92 cannot be used with the 8X/NX/AX since the anatomy of it is different to the B90. As you take a look at the positive pole of the B90 it has both contacts on this side. The (+) pole is the nipple while the metall ring around it is the (-) pole. The b92 is different as it does not have this special design and thus won't work with the 8-series.

Nevertheless I would like to know if and where you might be able to buy new B92 batteries as I am highly interested in getting several of these to replace the B90's.
