SF M2 bezel observation and problems

I just got my M2 bezel from SF, I have it put on a Z3, instantly, it starts look at a M3. I was very pleased with the appearance of this setup.
Here is my problems, well I cannot call it a problem, but the P90 seems not as bright in M2 bezel comparing to in original bezel. I noticed that with the M2 bezel, the LA reccess deeper inside, so the bezel blocks some of the side spill coming out of the LA. This make it feel less bright, at leas to my eyss.

Does anyone has the same observation? Any comments. thanks

yep, that's why i don't like the M2 and carried a C2 when i required such a light.

i actually prefer my E2E over anything, the best beam and 2cell sf makes IMO.

yeah, that's the price you pay for the shock isolation of the M2 and Z32 bezels, you lose a little on the edges of the side spill, due to the depth of the lamp. If you need shock isolation, then it's worth it. I noticed my G2 loses a little compared to my 6P also, due to the retaining ring holding the lens.

I agree with tkl, the E2E has the best beam and has recently become my favorite 2 cell SF now. (now if only it was regulated).

I also agree. The E2E's beam was better than the M2's. The M2 is a great looking light, though.

Wow, E2E certantly is everyone's faverite.
That is probably what I will get next, but I want to wait for the standard clickie for E series.

I wonder how much that E2E clickie tailcap will cost us to upgrade. The old style 6P with lexan lens and no retaining ring has as good of a beam as the E2E imo, but with twice the bulk, not a good pocket carry light.

Could be a looonngg wait, as SureFire is absolutely horrible for announcing new products far, far before they are available. It's really a gamble: it could be a month or two, or it could be a year or more /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

SureFire 'announced' the MN02 (25 lumen, 150 min.) lamp for the E2 series about *15 months* before they began shipping them. I was on a waiting list for 14 months....

I have a M2, which is a beautiful piece of lighting technology, but far to big to carry. I keep telling myself to sell or trade it, but nobody's listening....

The E2e is tiny compared to the M2, and puts out almost as much light, with a very nice beam. Like almost everyone else here, I EDC a SG E2, along with a HA E2 +KL1, which frankly gets far, far more use than the incandescant E2 does, these days.

I hope the wait for a clicky E2e tailcap isn't too long, as I will certainly buy one or two. And I hope the light with the new clicky fits the A82 holster, as the wait for them was also over a year... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twak.gif

Regarding the M2 Bezel:

Design intension - M95 WeaponLight Bezel. Shock Isolated and tank-like to take the recoil and abuse SureFire knows it's most popular MU Series WeaponLight is going to be put through.
On the M2 the Shock Isolated Bezel gives the lamp the most protection offered by any two cell SF123A model on the market.

Regarding the E2e:

If you plan to wait for the E2e to come standard with a Clickie then you are going to be waiting a long time.

Better to get an E2e and a KL1 to be going on with while you wait for a Clickie and I suppose a KL4.

The M2 is designed to be the toughest whilst the E2e is designed to be the smallest and easiest to carry.

Or...you could do what I just did. Ordered a beamshaper for my E2O, it arrived today. Has the same usefulness as a KL1, long runtime when used with the MN02, bright when used with MN03, pops on and off easily, barely changes the bulk of the light, and only costs $10 shipped. I also got the red and blue filters, just for fun, only $6.50 shipped.

The M2 has interchangabilty with the weapons light, thus giving you a supply of spare parts in the field, one of it's major advantages.

Stingray - you mention the b'shaper and filters popping on and off easily, but are they that easy to fit that they sometimes come off when you don't want them to? Pics I've seen of them, they don't have the clamp bit of the larger filters for other lights.

I don't think it would ever come off when you don't want it to. You have to intentionally push it off with your thumb. It doesn't have the clamp or the tip off lens, which is why it fits in the pocket as easily as the bare light does. The big tipoff beanshapers would ruin the small, pocket sized handyness of the E2E IMO. I have the tip off ones on my 6P and 8X, and the tipoff feature is very handy, but definitely not for pocket carry, only holster carry.

M95 is the Millennium Universal WeaponLight Group based on the M2.

It's a two SF123A WeaponLight consisting of the MH90 Housing, M49 or M50 mounting, LU60 Lamp Module, and a TailCap Switch (SW01, SW02 or UUxx)
