Can anyone tell me if there are any Modern LED conversions for the SF M4 devastator. In light of new developments it has sort of become a very expensive paper weight. Burns batteries like no tomorrow. Discontinued by surefire and replaced with similar footprint like that is 550 msrp, I think SF is out of their mind. I own 5 of their lights and 10 other lights (mag, pelicans, and HIDs). I've searched online and found nothing. Any help appreciated.

I have a M4 Devastator and I purchased a Seraph SST-90 3 mode head from Lumens factory. Awesome thrower, It is rated for a max of 1600 lumens using the M6 so I guesstimate about 1000 to 1200 using a M4.
I got the Seraph head for the same reason. The M4 went through batteries with the 500 lumen incan bulb.
Best of luck in your search. I hope I helped

Thank you so much for the info, very much appreciated.

Lumens Factory also makes two versions of P7 M series heads - a single mode and a three-mode. Max nominal output is 950 lumens. Some consider this design to be more practical/successful than the SST-90. There are reviews and discussion of both on CPF.

Various custom builders have made LED towers for the standard Surefire turbo heads, but with the limited thermal path available in the Surefire head, output tends to be moderate with current LEDs. Searching will reveal various makers, many of whom are no longer producing towers. This thread has recently been revived with discussion of possible production with a revised design. LED towers occasionally show up for sale on the Marketplace. You might want to contact nailbender to see if he'll be able to build you a tower for your turbo head. See this thread for reference.

- Syncytial.
