I have a 3A shark buck from the Sandwich Shoppe. I wired it in as I thought from the instruction picture, and ran it with 2 x C LiIons. After about a second, there was a small amount of smoke, so I turned it off.
I tried it a second time for just over a second, and the Vin got so hot that the solder melted.
I did a quick test with a multimeter, and it looks like the P7 LED is getting the full unregulated voltage from the 2 C LiIons, and supplying it with about 8amps.
Have I done something silly here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (Excuse the mess from the adhesive!)
I have sent an e-mail to the SS, but if anyone could help, I'm desperate to get it sorted!
