shoe size question

Just trying to find an answer,,,how much smaller approx, is a half size difference

i just got these

i like em a lot. but i ordered my size and they are a tad big, i was going to return and get a half size smaller,,,befor i do i want to find out how much smaller is a halfsize down

A half shoe size is 1/8 inch exactly.

Holy crap. Ive never even dreamed of ordering something a half size larger or smaller? But then again I wear a 16 so my shoe shopping consist of walking into a shoe store walking straight to the counter and asking them what they have in a 15 or 16. Most of them just laugh and I leave empty handed.

Return them and get some Chacos or Vibram FiveFingers instead

One thing you should really do is get your feet measured at an old-fashioned boot store. What most shoe stores don't tell you is you actual shoe size, most just give you the closest size they have in stock. It's a big part of the reason 3/4 people are wearing the wrong shoe size.
