Shortest length protected 14500 button tops?

I have a couple of NiteCore NL147 cells and they are too long for my EagTac D25A MkII. I have seen the NiteCore N147R with micro-USB port described as being only 49.5mm long, which would be considerably shorter than the normal NL147s that I have, which are >52mm, so I'm skeptical.

Does anyone know of any protected button top 14500s that: 1) are good quality, 2) have been measured at <51.2 mm in length, and 3) are currently available? (I have e-mailed NiteCore for a confirmation on the NL147R actual length and am waiting to hear from them.)

The only batteries I've checked are the Nitecores that I already have. Since I'll have to mail-order any 14500 batteries I purchase, I'm asking if anyone knows how long they are for sure before​ I order them...

I just heard from Matt at Battery Junction. They took the time to measure the NL147R battery for me and it is indeed 49.5mm. Perfect! I'll try a few. I ordered a couple of XTAR 14500s to try, too.

Thanks very, very much for bringing me back to that site for another look. I had visited the lygte-info.de site but didn't explore it enough to uncover the true treasure trove of information within! Wow!

It looks like the Nitecore 14500s I ordered were not at the top of the heap, but I lucked out by deciding to throw a couple of XTAR's 14500s into my shopping basket.

HKJ has certainly done a huge service to the battery-buying public with the work he has compiled. Truly admirable...
