Should the average user buy Surefire?

Like any purchase, the buyer has to KNOW what he is buying!

I recommended a brinkmann Legend LX to a neighbor, and one day, he knocked on my door, asking me why his Brinkmann ran out of light after an hour. He said, it just went dead.

People used to the dim, yet long run time of a 2 or 3 D battery, might be in for a shock when they use a SureFire.

But, hey, why not, as long as they know what they are getting.

It's not like it's a puppy or a gun, it is just a light!

I seems to me from my experiences that $$$'s are the biggest factor.
Another factor is that we take it for granted that we can get 123's online when there are multitudes of folks out there who are not online to be able to order batts.
I would seriously reconsider using/owning my SF-SL's if I couldn't get batts online.

Me too! sure as long as the average user is told about the expensive bulbs that are not any more reliable than
the bulbs in other lights.
