Holy crap! I've made a few with a pattern and they didn't turn out anywhere near this good. These things are unreal! Good work!

Wow, those are really great. You have talent sir... I love looking at the pumpkins on this site.
If I had even a hair as much artistic talent as you, or the guy on the site I linked... I'd pick up some of those tools, and take a stab at a creative pumpkin.
Instead, I'll probably go with the always popular "pumpkin throwing up"... :crackup: :crackup:

Thx..did them just for fun..working on a few more.. being foam, i'll get to use
them year after year, so i dont mind spending some time on them.
For lighting, i rigged up a 2D mag bulb(got tons from leftover 2d host mods) plastic 2D holders and toggle switches from ratshack.
For some reason leds look green inside pumpkins..I guess it's from the lack of
reds. i was going to drop in a few cheapo puck lights. :shrug:

Hey All!
I thought I would share what I did the other night.. I was carrying out all of my yearly Halloween decorations when I had a "BRIGHT IDEA." :naughty: I looked at my orange pumpkin with its little stock bulb, and felt a need for something bigger.. A 200w bulb upgrade :D This lights up ALOT of my house and front yard.. (The Pics don't do this pumpkin justice) I bet my neighbors love it.. This is my first post with pictures so please bare with me.. Anyone else have any storys similar to this one? :popcorn:

Two years ago, I entered a pumpkin carving contest held by PopCap Games.
At the time, my son and I enjoyed playing a game called "Heavy Weapon", and he wanted a pumpkin with that theme.
Here's the logo which we used to design the jack o lantern:
Here's the unlit punkin. It is unimpressive in daylight.
There was no way a standard candle could make the Heavy Punkin glow adequately, so I cut a hole in the back and used a Mag95 to light it up.
I suspect our entry won thanks to the lighting effect, rather than the quality of the carving.
