Sick Laser Pointers

I have 2 laser pointers, 1 red one and 1 green one, that sadly have died on me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif . The reason unbeknownst to me, i took good care of both, niether have been thrashed and lucky to be a couple of hours use between them. They just stopped functioning.
Though the green was trouble from the start, going from bright to dim or vice versa, it was a bit bodgy. Can anybody help me Revive them, or is it even worth it????. I'm located in Australia so i'd say i might have a bit of trouble on my hands. Am i going to have to send them to the US(and will it cost an arm and a leg,if so, damn, i'll just have to buy new ones) or can i get it done in OZ? Any info appreciated!(or at least laser-point /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif me in the right direction!)

Same thing happened to my red pointer, but I seem to have misplaced it, so I can't tell you any more. I'll let you know if I find it soon, and can see the problem.

The red one i got from arnold, the cruddy green one i got from ebay, i can't rememberwho supplied it. So can any one help?????

it happened after the warranty expired. with the red, i hadn't used it in a while, pulled it out of the case went to use it........ nothing. So i thought, what we all would think. Batteries...... my baby is hungry. New battries put in...... still nothing. With the green i've more or less decided it was just crap from the start. just proves you get what you pay for, pay peanuts, get monkeys. lucky i'm about to spend some real money /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif but still, can any one help me with my sick pointer or is it just not worth it?

huh? what do you mean? the guy from ebay that i got my green from didn't reply to any of my emails, so i think he knew he was selling a bit of a bodgy product.

Apparently this guy Dwight was in a car crash last month, so maybe everyone can make use of his services and get their sick lasers fixed by him. I'm sure the extra cash would be good for him!
