Silva Headlamps??

Just discovered that Silva makes orientearing headlamp 3 of which they claim have a 250 meter range.

Anyone messed with these?

A while back I asked about headlamps and was told one idea would be to get a cheap LED and a Xenon for cheaper then a hybrid.

With the range they are claiming on these I think they might perhaps be the idea 'hi beam' in that sittuation with the other being something like a Zipka or Tikka.

So what do you guys think of the silva?

I have been wondering about them as well for quite a while! I sure would be nice to hear from someone who's tried them out...

The make them for decades now. I do have a very early model with just a 4.8V 0.5A bulb (IIRC).
As they are made for night orienteering (very popular in Sweden), the headpieces are as light as possible.
