I would like to make a dynamo (schmidt) powered rear light using the indus triple XP-E
I have a edelux on the front.
I have used Martins circuit 2 , using a schottky diode and a capacitor.

This is the light powered directly from the dynamo.

If I power it from the edelux it isn't as bright but works well.

My problem is I know very little electronics . I can solder but I couldn't make this circuit

which is a flasher and what I want , without a bit more help. Please could anyone direct me to the basics of building this sort of circuit.

Just to clarify, you want to:
- drive a triple (series) XP-E tail light from your dynamo...
- have it flash and...
- also have it in series with the e-delux (I think using the standard connector on the e-delux puts the rear light in parallel)?

Is that all correct?

Sam

Don't mind if it is in series or parallel, it seems a fair bit dimmer when connected from the edelux . yes to the other two questions.
I dont mind using a driver , - don't know if thats possible from the SON . I have avoided that because I would like to get the circuit in a easy2led case (http://bit.ly/qKSRak)
