Single RCR123 light

Sorry gang, I have been away from this forum for quite some time. I am in need of a single CR123 light that is a mix between flood and throw to take the dogs out at night. Specs below:

Throw distance 100m
Flood spread to light up all around: 25M
Lumen: 400+ down <=1 lumen (adjustable) Price= under $900

I just lost my Dataled HDS U60 with 600+lumen that I loved. Any help to replace her would be much appreciated.

I feel like such a noob asking here, but am upset that I lost my favorite light right now and don't have the patience to find the latest and greatest....

Throwers; I have those. All floods, I have those too. I am looking for the best in the rcr123 form factor that is readily available.

Quark QP2L-X Burst Mode on a 1xCR123 tube, running an IMR 16340 for ~750 max (1 min stepdown) and 0.5 lm moonlight. Has a nice single-handed momentary max "feature"/(work around) from any lower mode in use that I find ideal for dog walking. Spot the Dog off leash at a distance, fire two quick flashes at approaching cars to signal them pedestrians are ahead, check that bump in the woods - returns to previously used low mode upon release.

I haven't had much luck with anything 4seven. They seem to only last a short time. Either the diode over heats and get fried, or the electronic ui gets messed up and renders the light useless or I just accidental drop the light and it stops working.

I am quite rough on my flashlights. They are mere tools to me. I haven't any shelf queens, though many other people would baby the lights that I have.

I put the dollar amount at under 900 as this search should yield custom lights, but not any spy 00*'s. I just looking for the latest and greatest that is also bombproof.

If you liked the HDS before, why not get another? A Clicky or Rotary, although if you're rough on it, a Clicky is probably better. They have caught up on their backlog. You'll have to have someone customize it to get more than the 200-250 lumens they put out as standard, but with that budget, it should be possible.

Have had no problems with 4sevens. But, you might consider an XTar meteor or an olight S10 baton
