The Streamlight site list the diameter of the Propoly 2AA at 1.37", but I suspect that is the bezel. Does anyone know the diameter of the main body?

Would one fit in a open end holster made for a MiniMag 2AA, thus ignoring head diameter and length differences?

Okay.

Body diameter (not including rubber inserts) 13/16"

Body diameter (over widest area of rubber inserts) 7/8"

Body diameter (over pocket clip) 1 1/16"

Fit in a MiniM*g holster? It will slide into it, but it's TIGHT... and rather hard to remove.

I have been told of stretching a Leather Belt holster for a Mini to fit the Surefire G2, so I'm sure it would be no big deal to make it fit the SL Pro Poly 2AA.

Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Since you have one, what are your thoughts on the tail switch of the 2AA?

I have a 3c that is rather stiff, and tough to set a good position on the bezel so that the button does not require excessive depth to activate. Otherwise it is a good light for the price.

I strongly prefer a clickie switch, but the one on the 2AA is at least as good as any other that works the same way. It is a might stiff, but at least doesn't light if you mearly breath on it.

Something else also needs saying about the 2AA. On mine at least, the beam is too tight for a general purpose light. I put a spot of Writeright on mine and it helped a little.

I guess the real question is, what do you expect from the light? Because there might be other lights that would do what you want better...
