Who has one, and what are your impressions/opinions of it? Has anyone done a review and posted beamshots? I've seen Craig's review...now I'm interested in a "layman's" review /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif! I'm thinking of getting one, but I want to hear other's opinions first. Thanx!

My first one was a "greenie", which was promptly replaced by BrightGuy. This one is the purest white Luxeon I own.

Very focusable beam, MUCH more throw than my 3AA SL Lux, a tighter beam all around. The workmanship is superb, nice knurling.

It is the same length, same bezel diameter as my SF 6P, the TL-2 has a slightly smaller light barrel. The clip is useful, and removeable with a small hex wrench. It has a recessed clickie which prevents most inadvertant unwanted "ons".

It is not regulated (which I prefer) so should give many hours of useful light, and then you can change the batteries at your own choosing. It is not terribly over driven (see below post) so it shouldn't surprise you with a puff of smoke.

I think I'll get another for my wifes car.

Is it really a clickie? I thought you had to turn it for constant on??

My apologies, brain fart; Craig is of course correct. It is recessed, and you press for momentary.

As I was answering the question, I had a handful of lights before me. Rule #1: one at a time.

I have 2 of them, both nice. One's blue/white, the other has a very slight green tint, but doesn't show up in normal use, only when testing against a white wall with the other one.

I like these new Streamlights, in fact, I have two TL-2's, two 3AA-LED Tasklights, and now the new TL-3 as well. All are very nice for the price. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

A few days more with my TL-2 and TL-3. Unlike ANY LED I have had before, these things have THROW, in caps. I have been reading for months about the need for special focusing thingies, optics and such, that a reflector doesn't work that well. These do.

Any geeks out there that can explain how Streamlight can do such a splendid job of making a Luxeon focus well, with few artifacts, and have a useable focus adjustment, are welcome to enter the fray.

No excuses here, these are made in America..... Fine lights indeed.

I LOVE my TL-2. Excellent throw, good color and brightness, lovely runtime. This little guy is gonna bump my green L1 out of 100% EDC.
