SOG Bowies

Here's a couple of my SOG Bowies, a Trident and an S-1. The S-1 is one of the original serial numbered series from the mid-80's when SOG Specialties was in Santa Monica, Calif.

Very, Very nice!! The original limited editions must be worth some bread now eh?

What a great blade, I can see why the...uh...Studies and Observations Group chose these types for their official knife. Now those guys of 5th Group Vietnam were some low tech haaaaard *** operators! I hear that during the last weeks of cross border operations they were taking nearly 100% causualties due to compromised OPSEC. That's a tough thing to commit to, an op that you most likely will not return from, but they did it, anyway!! Real heroes!!
