Interesting!

So far all the night garden lights I saw use CDS to detect the presence of the light. It is a fresh trick to use the drop of the solar cell voltage to trigger the light on. Also most use 2 NiCd and direct drive a yellow led, it is first one I see with boost circuit.

A lot to study and a lot to learn. Thanks for the circuit.

My garden light uses one AA NiCd and a CDS for light sensing. The circuit will be a little bit different from this one.

Anybody has a circuit showing the use of CDS ?

I'll draw out the schematic and post it, if someone sends me the circuit board out of a CDS based garden light which uses a single AA cell. I'm only interested in single AA cell type and the PCB would have to come in an envelope via lettermail. Stepan
