Solarforce tailcap compatability

Does anyone know if the innards from the twisty Solarforce tailcap ver. L2-S7 can be ripped out and put in the tailcap of a L2X tailcap?

What about the various forward clicky tailcaps? Can their innards be put in a L2X tailcap?

I got a L2X a long time ago, but have never used the thing because I can't stand rear clickys, but I don't want to replace the entire tailcap because it matches.

The S7 is surefire Z41 like..possibly it can (assuming that the receiveing tailcap is shortened) but it has not been proven very reliable...

On the otehr hand the innards of a S6 is a straight drop-in for all the others. Go with it, you will not regret it.
