That's unusual, HA III is a electrical insulator to 500 volts, and E-serie tubes cannot bottom out, like they would against a standard LE, or a SF head...But if you say so...it must work.

Just tryed it on the Camo lights sold here and it didnt work...
I guess the threads on the lights i have used it on must have been worn to bare metal in some places.

So looks like the maker is right and the user is wrong
